Hi, I’m Phengphian Laogumnerd and I’m delighted you have found my blog. If there is one thing you need to know about me, it is that I love to cook. You name it, and I can cook it! But my real passion lies with Asian fusion cuisine. However, as someone who appreciates the culinary arts very much, I am always keen to discover new delectable dishes. Growing up in New York City has naturally had a profound effect on my tastes as I had the opportunity over the years to discover lots of wonderful and mouth-watering flavors. This blog is my personal space where I will talk about my interests, most of which will are almost certainly cooking related, but I’ll try to go beyond that. I will also make sure to tell you a thing or two about my company, which is what I dedicate almost all my time to. I’ll tell you more about it in a second.
First a little bit more about myself. I grew up in New York City, went to school in Queens, and stayed around for my studies at the Culinary Institute of America, which was a fantastic place just north of NYC. So my whole life has been more or less anchored around this phenomenal city. At one point I realized I want cooking to be more than just a hobby and I decided to make a career out of it. And as a result, today I do what I love. Hopefully I can convey my passion through this humble blog.
A little about my company. I founded Phengian Laogumnerd Cuisine back in 2000 in, you guessed it, New York City. After 17 years, it just keeps getting better and better. I founded it with the sole intention of providing catering services for events, but seeing novel opportunities, I also decided to expand it in various directions. Today, you can find classes for amateurs who wish to cook more (or to find out how to make some of the delights they tried at various events). Very recently, I’ve also expanded into offering health food boxes and recipes that get delivered straight to you, allowing you to make quick and easy meals. You can look forward to seeing me post news and updates about how my business is going as well. I want to be as open as possible about what I do and to share my passion with you, so also feel free to contact me about my recipes or the way I run my little service. I am always looking for ways to improve and enhance it!
